Our Story

Sometime during the summer of 2003, Robert McCannel and Erich Yost had an “AHA! Moment”.

It occurred to them that their individual skill sets were the perfect compliment to one another.

Robert, with many years fashion jewelry design experience, had been successfully retailing his own line of fashion jewelry on television shopping networks in Europe, Canada, and the USA. Erich, with his MBA and extensive business background working for Fortune 500 companies knew all about numbers, systems and running a company.

Together they decided to blend their talents and create a fun and glamorous direct sales company that would offer beautiful, high quality and affordably priced sterling silver and fashion jewelry.

They dreamed of enhancing people's lives -- with a line of jewelry so beautiful and easy to sell that it would enable and empower thousands of women to create the life they love.

From the onset, Little Black Dress focused on building a supportive company that would strive to always maintain a friendly, fair and creative environment that respects diversity, encourages new ideas and rewards hard work.

In January 2004, Little Black Dress received its first New Consultant Application. In just a few short years, Robert, Erich, and hundreds of Little Black Dress Independent Fashion Jewelry Consultants have gone from "dreaming" to "living their dreams".
